Event description

In today's rapidly evolving corporate landscape, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations have become central to business strategy and operations.

While companies have made significant progress in their efforts to meet these standards, this has also led to an increased risk of greenwashing, where misleading claims about environmental practices are made.

This situation creates new obligations for in-house counsel in navigating ESG challenges and preventing greenwashing.

Alison Ross-Eckford will chair this webinar, where Katrina Anderson, an expert in greenwashing and Judith Houston, a corporate lawyer in our ESG team, will explore the following:

  • The regulatory framework for greenwashing and the risks of non-compliance
  • Lessons from the CMA fast fashion undertakings for internal processes
  • The role of in-house counsel in advising the board and ensuring compliance
  • Directors’ duties in relation to greenwashing
  • Strategies for staying ahead of the curve.

If you need any adjustments to take part in this webinar, please let us know using our requirements form.
