Financial distress may not be an issue for you, but it may affect your family, business interest and those that you interact with. We act for a number of families whose dependents get into financial difficulty and we advise on both the planning to protect against that and also how those dependents can resolve those issues with the minimum of complexity and PR.
Those clients need to know what they can and cannot do and what their options are, which may involve restructuring and/or refinancing.
Alternatively, it may be a question, in respect of the financial distress of others, of collecting money owed, bringing business relationships to an end or managing financial relationships in a discrete and private manner to avoid unwanted publicity.
