What can I do for you

Laura is a commercial, technology and IP lawyer with over six years’ experience in drafting a wide range of commercial, IT and technology contracts and advising clients on day-to-day commercial queries. She's regularly involved in strategic negotiation of contractual provisions and giving advice on data protection matters within both the public and private sectors.

She has a particular specialism in advising technology businesses in relation to their Master Services Agreements, procurement and outsourcing arrangements and negotiating the same.

Laura is particularly interested in and passionate about "FemTech" and female health initiatives and supporting tech businesses in the diverse Manchester Tech scene.

What do others say

Laura is mentioned in the Legal 500 as a “key name to note” in the North West for her handling of SaaS agreements, website and app development and hosting and maintenance agreements. She receives positive feedback from clients for her collaborative and personable approach to client matters and negotiations, stating that she is a pleasure to complete projects with.

Supporting your ambitions

Laura is experienced in working for a wide range of clients including large corporates, start-ups and scale-ups, SMEs, banks, government departments, IT service providers, professional service providers and international manufacturers.

She listens carefully to the needs of her clients and works collaboratively with them enabling her to draft tailored commercial agreements which reflect how her client’s work operationally. This assists clients with certainty of, and an understanding of, their contractual obligations, contract enforceability and best practise. Laura's always keen to provide astute and informed advice on day to day and complex commercial queries, including data protection and compliance with digital marketing regulations.

As a firm, we do not believe in a one size fits all approach. What is right for one client is not right for another. As far as Laura is concerned, a great outcome for the client is one in which they are fully involved, having received clear and straightforward advice.

What else should you know?

Laura trained and qualified at DLA Piper UK LLP, completing an international secondment to DLA’s Dubai office, and a client secondment to a US based specialty food company. She has insight into the needs and demands placed on in-house lawyers and support they require from external counsel. Laura also worked at Myerson Solicitors in their award winning commercial team.
