What can I do for you
Dominic is a specialist construction and engineering lawyer, with over 15 years of professional experience. He offers a whole of life service on major projects, working with public, private and third sector clients, primarily in the education, science & technology, leisure, and infrastructure sectors.
He regularly advises on complex and innovative schemes, with procurement structures using all the main standard forms (including NEC, JCT, FIDIC and IChemE) as well as bespoke contracts and frameworks.
He has a particular interest in modern methods of construction (MMC), including offsite manufacture, and the environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues that arise on building and infrastructure projects.

“Dominic Jones has been exemplary in fulfilling the construction legal commission. His response to issues is quick succinct and focussed. Given the issues and hurdles which have arisen he has shown endless patience. In addition clear scopes of service and fixed fees have been very welcome.”
Supporting your ambitions
Dominic understands that a successful project is one that delivers on its stakeholders’ key objectives. His job is to work with his clients to identify those objectives and put in place (and then monitor implementation of) a project structure to enable them to be met. He brings broad experience and market knowledge to bear in developing contractual arrangements that are appropriate for each specific scheme. This often involves conversations about outcome-focused procurement and lifecycle value, with risks allocated so as to promote efficient and collaborative performance.
Experience of advising employers, developers, institutional investors, funders, contractors, professional consultants and suppliers gives Dominic insight into the perspectives of the various participants in the built environment. He also knows how things can go wrong, having been involved in all forms of dispute resolution procedure.
Dominic recognises the challenges facing the construction sector and the responsibility of those working in it to address them. He enjoys supporting his clients in the efficient execution of projects that deliver social value and environmental benefits.
