Mills & Reeve named best law firm across Oxfordshire for two years running

The awards recognise some of the best of the Oxfordshire property, design and construction sectors. Alongside the evening ceremony, the festival included a series of organised walks, talks and expos in the run-up to celebrate the value of property in the region.

The best law firm award identifies those operating in the built environment, construction and real estate sectors who can demonstrate that they have been active in the Oxfordshire marketplace, closing deals, creating new business opportunities and have matched their business plan objectives during the past 12 months. This is the second year of the firm winning this award after another busy 12 months of work within Oxfordshire.

Our submission was strengthened by our impressive client list and some of the key projects we have worked on in Oxfordshire, including advising Kadans Science Partner in relation to the acquisition of The Sherard Building on The Oxford Science Park. We have one of the strongest real estate life sciences offering in the UK and the sector has been a significant area of growth for us in recent years, reflecting the wider market trend of significantly increased investor interest. This is demonstrated by the fact that we were instructed on 5 of the 7 largest life sciences real estate transactions in 2021.

Matthew Battle, Managing Director at UK Property Forums quoted: “Well done to Mills & Reeve. To win Best Law Firm of the Year two years in a row is exceptional and reflects the positive approach of the firm to business development. Three years in a row … who knows?”

Vincenzo Maggio, Head of Real Estate Life Sciences at Mills & Reeve, said: “After opening our Oxford office earlier this year, we are delighted to receive continued recognition for our work in the local marketplace by winning this prestigious award for the second year. We are thrilled with the progress we have already made in Oxford and this award helps demonstrate our continued commitment to Oxfordshire”.
