Mills & Reeve appointed to CCS Public Sector Legal Services Framework

Mills & Reeve has been appointed to Lot 1a (Full Service Provision) and Lot 2a (General Service Provision) for England and Wales.

The Public Sector Legal Services Framework (RM6240), which came into force this month and replaced the Wider Public Services (RM3788), is designed to facilitate legal services to buyers in the whole of the UK public sector, more directly the wider public sector including health, education, local and regional government, emergency services, and third sector and social housing organisations.

This win follows the recent appointment by the Department for Education (DfE) to its £16 million legal services panel and re-appointment as a supplier on CCS’s legal services panel.

CCS supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services. In 2021/22, CCS helped the public sector to achieve commercial benefits equal to £2.8 billion - supporting world class public services that offer best value for taxpayers.

Greg Gibson, partner and head of the government sector, said: “We are pleased to have won a place on this prestigious framework which, together with our other recent appointments, further builds our prominence and reputation in the public sector.”

Mills & Reeve’s government clients include the Ministry of Defence, the Department of Health & Social Care, the Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities, the Department for Work and Pensions, Homes England, the Government Legal Department and the British Council.
