JCT’s Hidden Treasure – Its Consultancy Agreement

I recently had the pleasure of reviewing the JCT Consultancy Agreement (Public Sector)  2011 form. I am not aware of there being a private sector version.

I confess this form had passed me by and I have not come across it yet used on project.

However it is intriguing. It is very much in the  JCT mould of contracts in its layout and format..

You might quibble over the limitations in it; whether the lead designer role is sufficiently catered for; the preference for arbitration as the disputes process; lack of any template list of services to use a starting point , and lack of draft form of novation agreement. However as the first JCT form of consultants appointment that I have ever come across its interesting.

I wondered if any of our readers had used it and what they thought of it?
