Volume control

Award winning case management system working with in-house teams to control the noise.

Managing workload in a busy legal team can be a challenge. That’s why we’ve developed an online, end-to-end case management system that allows in-house teams to have full visibility of their matters, whether they are being dealt with internally or by external counsel.

The user-friendly portal with dashboard visualisation allows us to work with in-house clients to turn down the background noise, allowing them to concentrate on those important tasks that only they can do. By triaging work and allocating resources where appropriate, Volume Control allows us to collaborate with teams to ensure they operate at their most effective.

Volume Control won the Client Management Innovation Award during the Legal Week Innovation Awards in October 2020.

How it works

Developed by lawyers for lawyers, Volume Control is an end-to-end case management tool that provides full visibility between the client organisation and Mills & Reeve.

In developing it, we specifically addressed the resourcing challenges faced by in-house counsel to enable triaging of work and allocation of resources both by the in-house client team and by Mills & Reeve.

The platform also acts as a central document repository with shared diary and task management, enabling slick, collaborative matter and project management.

Benefits

In-house teams benefit from:

  • A tailored offering, which allows us to create a bespoke tool that fits seamlessly into the client’s culture.
  • Time saving and process efficiencies: particularly around reporting and updating.
  • The ability to make data driven decisions: responding to trends proactively.
  • Proper allocation of resources: through identifying capacity and flexing the approach.
